TOT

TOT is a psychological thriller staged in a dense mythical forest. The story is told from the perspective of Tot, a young girl who carries the unassuming and turbulent force of grief with her, fashioned in a delicate glass jar. Unbeknownst to Tot, her grief begins to gain influence over her the longer she chooses to ignore it. She flees her nightmares only to become lost in the deep haze of the forest, where menacing creatures begin to surface.

Directed by Aimée Kirkham Priester, Tom Getty and Fiona McLaughlin and funded by Northern Ireland Screen and BFI through the Creative Animation fund. TOT was the studio’s first foray into the world of real-time rendering, paving the way for future projects. We worked as an incredibly small team, considering the complexity of the project, still managing to incorporate many technical accomplishments.

The film went on to win the Oscars Qualifying award for Best Animation at the Galway Film Fleadh, and has been screened at festivals including Animation Dingle, Encounters, and Foyle Film Festival.
